James Donald DeBord
James Donald DeBord, 70, of Pikeville passed away at an area hospital on Sunday April 17, 2011.
He worked and retired from the United States Postal Service and was also a school bus driver for Bledsoe County. DeBord was of the Church of Christ faith and attended Wheeler Hill Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Georgia DeBord; brother, Dennis DeBord; and a niece, Lisa Sullivan.
He is survived and will be sorely missed by his wife of 50 years, June DeBord; son, Lynn DeBord; daughter, Karen (Vince) Dial; grandchildren, Donnie Lynn DeBord, Lauren Dial, Kristopher DeBord, Nikki Nichols, and Anita Rose DeBord; great-grandchildren, Taya Dial, Sophia DeBord, Aleaha Nichols, Timothy DeBord, and Natalie Nichols; brothers, Haskell (Lela Mae) DeBord and Hollis (Levaun) DeBord; sister, Brenda (Douglas) Lewis; sister-in-law, Delane DeBord; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at Wheeler Hill Church of Christ on April 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Min. Rick Owens and Donnie Lynn DeBord officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Hill Cemetery.
