Carl Fugate

Carl “Ed” Fugate, 77, of Pikeville died Wednesday, January 26, 2011. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was also in the American Legion and the VFW.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and Ida Fugate; infant sister; and brothers Kenneth, Ted and Roger Fugate.

Survivors include his daughters Dee Anna Fugate and Rebecca Fugate of Kansas; son Russell (Bobbi Sue) Fugate of Tracy City; three grandchildren Samantha (Brett) Lindsay, Jessika Fugate-Evans, and Spencer Fugate; great-granddaughter Haylee Lindsay; sisters Lewise (Herman) White of Decatur, Wanda (John) Boyd of Dunlap, Carlos (Glenn) Hale of Chattanooga, Margie (Bud) Parrot of Dayton; brother Stanley (Debbie) Fugate of Soddy Daisy; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held January 29 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial was in Spring City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5033, PO Box 661, Pikeville, TN 37367.
