James Robert “Robbie” Smith

James Robert “Robbie” Smith, 60, of Pikeville, Tennessee died Friday, June 19, 2026.

Robbie was a life-long resident of Bledsoe County, worked at La-Z-Boy for 42 years, and attended Summer City Baptist Church. He was a volunteer firefighter for 41 years with Rigsby Fire Department, and was a horse farrier for 30-plus years.

He loved his family and friends, horses, camping, being outdoors, all his animals, music, and dancing.

Robbie is survived by his loving wife, Robin Smith; daughter, Adrian (Bryan) Lowe; son, Robert (Hunter) Smith; grandchildren, J T Lowe and Rowen Smith; great grandchild, Dakota Lowe; mother, Linda Smith; father, James (Elouise) Smith; sister, Dee Dee (Chuck) Cook; niece, Erica Cook; step-daughters, Jamie Dillard and Ashley Raymond; step-grandchildren, Lucian Scheirer, Kira Raymond, and Khloe Raymond; step-sister, Stacy Bridges; step-brother, Jamie Thompson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be 3:00 p.m. CDT Tuesday, June 23, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Swafford officiating. Burial will be in Rigsby Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are, Robert Smith, Bryan Lowe, J T Lowe, Leslie Hall, Logan Hall, and Greg Carlton.  Honorary pallbearer is Dewayne Gravett. The family will receive friends noon until service time Tuesday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
