Nicholas Lewis Hall
Nicholas Lewis Hall, lovingly known as “Nick,” passed away on June 27, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, at the age of 42.
Nick was born on April 3, 1984, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Claude and Brenda Hall. From an early age, he possessed an inquisitive mind, an adventurous spirit, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
Nick attended the University of Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was a proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity. The friendships he formed during his college years remained a meaningful part of his life.
After graduating, Nick began a journey that would take him across the world. He first made his home in San Diego, California, before moving to Los Angeles. Driven by a passion for travel and cultural exploration, he embarked on a three-month backpacking adventure through Southeast Asia. The experience profoundly shaped his life and ultimately led him to settle in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2020, where he continued to embrace new cultures, friendships, and experiences.
Professionally, Nick was a self employed internet marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience. His entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and expertise allowed him to build a successful career while enjoying the freedom to work from anywhere in the world.
Nick was exceptionally intelligent and endlessly curious. He believed that the greatest education came through experiencing different cultures, meeting new people, and continually discovering more about himself. He approached life with an open mind and a willingness to embrace every new adventure.
His passions extended far beyond his career. Nick loved traveling, recording and singing country music, fitness, health, and nutrition, always striving to live intentionally while encouraging others to do the same. He had an adventurous soul and a genuine desire to experience life to its fullest.
Nick was also an avid sports fan whose enthusiasm was contagious. No matter where his travels took him, he proudly shared his love for the Tennessee Volunteers with everyone he met, becoming an enthusiastic ambassador for his beloved Vols around the world. He also remained a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Chargers. Sports provided another way for Nick to build friendships and stay connected to the places he loved most.
The ocean held a special place in Nick’s heart. Whether living near the beaches of Southern California or along the shores of Thailand, he found peace, healing, and perspective by the water. The beach was his sanctuary, a place where he could reflect, recharge, and appreciate the beauty of life.
Nick will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, kindness, resilience, and genuine appreciation for people from every walk of life. He inspired others to travel, embrace new experiences, and never stop learning. Although his journey took him across continents, he never forgot his Tennessee roots or the relationships that shaped him.
Nick is survived by his parents, Claude and Brenda Hall; his sister, Stefanie Hall Wilson, and her husband, James Alphaeus Wilson Jr.; his beloved nephews, James Alphaeus Wilson III (9) and Jackson Dukes Wilson (7); girlfriend, Peerada Amornthun (Peemmy); four aunts; one uncle; countless cousins throughout the United States and Germany; and many cherished friends around the world whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille and Dudley Lewis, Robert and Marianne Hall; his aunt, Barbara Hall Gannon; and his best friend, David Wesley Brackett.
A traditional Buddhist ceremony honoring Nick’s life will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, July 10, before he begins his final journey home to Knoxville, Tennessee.
The family received friends from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel (9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923) with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
Though his earthly journey ended far too soon, Nick’s adventurous spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built across the globe, and the memories he created along the way. May those who knew and loved him find comfort in remembering his courage, his curiosity, and the joy he found in exploring the world. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
