The Bledsoe County High School drama department is happy to announce the musical they will be performing is Alice in Wonderland Jr. The school will be having the plays for the other schools and then there will be two public performances. There will be different actors for different days and the musical has a runtime of just 1 hour
There are exactly 20 songs with the longest song being “The Golden Afternoon.” The musical is designed to run continuously without an intermission.
On May 4th, at 8:30 a.m. the students will be performing for Pikeville Elementary and then at 1:00 p.m. they will perform for the high school. On May 6th, they will be performing for Rigsby and Wheeler elementary schools at 8:30 a.m. On May 7th at 1:00 p.m. they will perform for the middle school.
The first public performance is set for May 8th at 5:30 p.m., and the second one will be on May 9th at 5:30 p.m.
Whether this is your first experience with Alice in Wonderland or your thousandth, you’ll fall in love all over again with this classic musical of imagination, adventure, and whimsy!
For night one the performers will be Layla Carter as Alice, Gwendolyn Yearwood as Big Alice, Destiny Bice as Small Alice, Jalyn Owens as Mathilda and Rose, Adam Wells as Friend 1 and Playing Card 2, Jackson Reel as Friend 2 and Tweedle Dum, Rebecca Duis as Cheshire 1, Jesse Lamb as Cheshire 2, Keldren Muncy as Cheshire 3, Marley Evans as White Rabbit, Arabella Barry as Doorknob, Levi Sullivan as Dodo, Karter Churches as Tweedle Dee, Shea Franklin as Lily, Morgan Clark a Petunia, Haleigh Shultz as Daisy, Haleigh Bouldin as Violet and Playing Card 4, Meadow Sparks as Caterpillar, Aydan Wilson as Mad Hatter, Sakura Keel as March Hare, Logan Lee as King of Hearts, Trinity Privett as Queen of Hearts, Evan Kutz as Playing Card 3, and Alexis Dishman as Ace.
