Genese Angel Sapp wishes to continue offering the citizens of Bledsoe County her experience and dedication as Bledsoe County Clerk.
“I am seeking re-election as your Bledsoe County Clerk in the upcoming May 5th Republican Primary,” said Sapp. “Your vote and continued support are greatly appreciated.
Sapp was elected County Clerk in 2018, but her journey began many years prior in June, 1978. At the age of 14, she started working for County Clerk C.D. Mills, Jr. and Deputy Clerk Carolyn Mills Terry on the CETA program.
“Little did I know this would be my life’s calling,” said Sapp.
When Carolyn was elected as County Clerk in 1986, Sapp became her Deputy Clerk and served in that position for 31 years. At Carolyn’s untimely passing in 2017, Sapp was appointed to fulfill her term until the 2018 election.
“I ran and was elected as County Clerk in 2018 and again in 2022,” said Sapp. “It is an honor that I take seriously.”
Sapp proudly says she is a lifelong resident of Bledsoe County. She and her husband, Bob Sapp, have been happily married since 1983. They raised their son, Brad, here and he continues to raise his family here as their families have done for generations.
“I am blessed to have invested my life in Bledsoe County,” said Sapp. “Our people are important to me. I humbly ask for your continued support and your vote in the upcoming election. Let my experience work for you.”
