Officer delivers early morning baby

“It’s a girl!” Words you would expect from a doctor but not this time.

This little girl was delivered by a Pikeville Police Officer who was assisted by a Communications Officer.

In the early morning hours of Monday, November 10, a E911 call was received that a woman was in active labor, reports Assistant Chief David Decker, with the Pikeville Police Department (PPD).
