Still delivering flowers after 40 years

When you do something you love, it never gets tiresome. That’s what has kept Linda Pendergrass going for more than 40 years as the owner and floral designer at Pikeville Flower Shop.

She and Betty Lou Turner purchased the business from Jim Denney who had started Pikeville Flower Shop in 1966.

“We knew nothing about the business,” laughed Pendergrass, “and we took it over at Valentine’s. We learned quickly what we had gotten into.”
