Blackburn shares views at townhall meeting
Community leaders and government officials gathered at a townhall meeting sponsored by U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn on Tuesday, August 12 at the Bledsoe County Courthouse. She discussed portions of President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” and other issues facing Tennesseans.
Blackburn explained a tax permanence is in the President’s bill. She explained, the 2017 tax cuts were made permanent and most families in Tennessee will save about $2,600 per year on their taxes.
She said they were able to achieve no tax on tips or overtime, and her legislation that removed tax from Social Security.
