City passes independent river water tests

A private company, Waypoint Analytics from Memphis, has conducted tests of the Sequatchie River below the Pikeville Waste Water Treatment Plant to determine if the plant’s runoff exceeded toxicity levels. The findings show the City plant was well within the toxicity levels at 70 millimeters, being allowed up to 940 millimeters to be pumped into the river.
