Caboose makes way through town to its new home at the Sequatchie Valley Railway Village

Railway returning to Pikeville? That was a question circulating in town last week when a truck pulled into town with an old caboose loaded on a trailer.

The caboose was on its way to its new home at the Sequatchie Valley Railway Village being constructed in Pikeville, announced Isaiah Knowles, one of the organizers. It will be placed on authentic train rails that have been laid on property three miles north of Pikeville at 166 Railway Village Drive just off Mill Dam Road, he said.

This is wonderful news. Pikeville is and has taken care of its history and beauty.
