Final Election Results for Bledsoe County

Bledsoe County Unofficial Election Results

Incumbent Assessor of Property, Zach Olendorf [D], has retained his post despite an outpouring of support for Republican candidate Shelley Bridges. According to the unofficial election results Thursday evening, August 1, Olendorf received 973 votes, while Bridges received 918.

Independent candidate and retired schoolteacher, Steve Perry, defeated Ben Farmer [R] to represent the voters in District 4 School Board. Perry received 218 votes compared to Farmer’s 125 votes.

Voting results were delayed due to a write-in campaign by Jackie Knox to unseat District 6 incumbent School Board member, Andy Billingsley [D]. Each ballot had to be hand-counted causing results to be delayed. Despite Knox’s efforts, Billingsley will continue to serve District 6 as he received 199 votes. Knox received 152 write-in votes.

Republican Tim Churches was unopposed to fill the District 2 School Board position once held by Vincent Boring. He received 257 complimentary votes.

Roy Clay DeBord, Jr. [R] received 254 complimentary votes for District 1, Part C County Commissioner.
