Public Design Meeting for widening of US Highway 127/State Route 28 on July 9

A public meeting on the widening of US Highway 127/State Route 28 from Main Street southward to Humble Cemetery Road is being held Tuesday, July 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bledsoe County High School. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is holding a Public Design Meeting for 3.1 miles from the 5-lane in Pikeville at Bledsoe County Middle School to Humble Cemetery Road. It will widen the current road to include two 12-foot lanes and 10-foot shoulder and a 100-foot proposed bridge. Turn lanes, continuous left turn lanes and passing lanes will be added at various locations, according to TDOT.
