Students encouraged to keep up reading skills over the summer

Students are being encouraged to hone their reading skills over the summer months in lots of different ways, in addition to creating new readers.

The Bledsoe County Public Library offers a summer reading program where children keep a tally of the number of books they read or have read to them now through July 18. Kathi Britt will do a story hour each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pikeville Farmers Market, except on July 4.

For more see the June 20 issue of The Bledsonian Banner.
