Four Reward Schools – Exemplary District accolades given by TDOE

Bledsoe County Middle School students cheered with excitement as they learned their school had been named a Reward School after being third from the bottom in the state of Tennessee one year ago. Not only did that school turn around and earn the status but so did three other schools in Bledsoe County. Additionally, the Bledsoe County School District is one of 12 in the state to be recognized as a Exemplary School District – the highest honor achievable, announced Director of Schools Selina Sparkman.

“Our teachers have worked extremely hard identifying where students are academically on an individualized basis and meeting the needs of those individual students,” said Director Sparkman. “Achieving both reward school and exemplary district status is a contribution of the hard work of our entire school community, including students, teachers, support staff, families, and the community as a whole.”
