Andersons’ Small Town Christmas Magic float wins

With snow falling all around, the crowd was transferred to the world of Small Town Christmas Magic with the Anderson Family float during the 27th annual Pikeville Christmas Parade. They received $200 for their entry and were recognized in memory of Pam McBay, who, along with Jane Wooden, were instrumental in starting the parade years ago.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to Jane Wooden, and the late Pam McBay, for trusting the Main Street Committee to keep their vision for the annual community Christmas parade going,” said Jeania Lansing with the committee.

This year marks one of the largest parades ever, said Lansing. There were 75 total entries from floats to cars to all-terrain vehicles to horses.
