Historian’s legacy continues with Young’s appointment
In a small upstairs room, with sunshine filling the space lined with memories and files of history, Earline Young stands in awe of the information accumulated by the late Elizabeth Robnett who served as Bledsoe County Historian until her death at age 103. Young now has the daunting task to fill Miss Robnett’s place in recording the history of Bledsoe County and its people.
She was appointed by the Bledsoe County Commission in September at the recommendation of Bledsoe County Mayor Gregg Ridley.
Miss Robnett’s sister, Sue Robnett, said “Libby would be glad for you (Earline) to carry it on. Earline does that anyway and she’s a native of here.”

Hope you do well. Love our history.
