Roberson’s song heads to next round
“The Last Letter,” a song written by Blake Roberson of Pikeville has been chosen to move on to the next round of the Tennessee Songwriters competition. He recently performed the song he penned in Crossville at the Grinder House. He and one other individual from that stage were selected to move on to compete in Franklin on February 23 at the Franklin Theater at 7:00 p.m.
Blake said he wrote the song after reading about a soldier who lost his life during the Korean War and whose body was brought back home. That compelled him to write “The Last Letter” and was the winning song.
