Boynton retiring from office, surprised with reception

For the past 24 years, those entering the Register of Deeds office in the Bledsoe County Courthouse were met by Emma Boynton. After serving six terms in office, she is officially retiring this month from the office. Her role as a community servant will not end though as she continues to support the Bledsoe County Community Food Bank, and as a big fan of Bledsoe County sports.

The Pikeville native was surprised Friday, August 12 as she entered the courtroom where many of those she worked with, served, and helped throughout her years in office where there to honor her.
