Griffith resigns from Bledsoe County Commission
Bledsoe County Commissioner Brent Griffith [District 3A] officially resigned his position on the county commission effective March 15, 2021.
“This is in regard to the time and effort that I must dedicate to a new job opportunity and my family,” Griffith said in his resignation letter. “I do not believe that I will have the adequate time to perform the duties of a county commissioner during this time.”
Griffith was first elected to the commission in 2016 to fill an unexpired term and was subsequently elected to a full term in 2018, set to expire next year. Bledsoe County Mayor Gregg Ridley said the County Commission will vote to appoint someone to fill the seat for the remainder of the term until the 2022 election at the commission’s April meeting.
