Active COVID-19 cases balloon to 115

Bledsoe County reported 115 active cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, December 14, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH). Of those active cases, approximately 10 were inmates at Bledsoe County Correctional Complex (BCCX), according to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Correction released on December 13.

The sixth death in the county was reported by TDH on Friday, December 11. The death was the fifth death to occur among general population residents of the county, while an inmate at BCCX passed away from the virus in May.
