Fields declines newly elected Trustee post

Republican candidate for Bledsoe County Trustee, the winner of the November 3 election, did not take office last Wednesday as expected when the election was certified.

Fields, who received 1,665 more votes than his next closest competitor in a five-person race, said in a letter after much prayer and deliberation he decided not to take office due to health concerns.
