BCHS basketball begins Thursday
The Bledsoe County High School Warriors and Lady Warriors will open their basketball seasons this week with a Hall of Fame contest against Monterey at home on Thursday, November 19. The girls’ game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the boys’ game following. This game was previously scheduled for Tuesday but was rescheduled to Thursday.
The girls will travel to South Pittsburg on Saturday, November 21 for another preseason Hall of Fame match up. Game time will be 3:00 p.m.
Director of Schools James Ellis has stated that there will be new restrictions in place for the upcoming basketball season due to COVID-19. They are as follows: cheerleaders will not be dressing out for away games, two rows of bleachers will be left open behind the teams’ benches, a limited number of players will travel to away games, and fans will be limited to a 494 capacity.
Only 494 total tickets will be sold for each home game. Admission to individual games will be $6. Season tickets will be available to purchase for $50 in the front office of BCHS from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday – Friday until all 200 are sold. Parents of players and cheerleaders will have first priority. Season tickets will not include Hall of Fame games or postseason games.
