Water Leak Relief service for Pikeville water customers

The City of Pikeville Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a new service contract for its water customers to protect them in the event of a water leak that could cause major bill increases.

Aldermen approved the proposal by Water Leak Relief, of Crossville, after a presentation at their September meeting by Josh Stone.

The service will be automatically applied to City water customers’ bills starting tentatively in November, and all customers will get a copy of the service contract and fees prior to it being added, according to the Board. Customers can opt out of the program if they choose, and instructions on how to opt out will be included in mailed notices to customers, Stone said.
