Former EMS Director indicted for rape – Grand Jury returns indictments against several others
Former Bledsoe County EMS Director Will Angel was indicted by the Bledsoe County Grand Jury on multiple charges of rape, sexual battery, and attempted rape of two females employed by the ambulance service. The Grand Jury handed down Angel’s indictments, plus indictments in many other cases presented on Monday, July 27.
Angel, 29, was arrested but released on bond last week. Grand Jury documents reveal between May 1, 2019 and September 11, 2019, Angel used force or coercion to have sexual contact with a one woman. These offenses against this particular woman lead to seven indictments for sexual battery.
Court documents allege he attempted to pull the victim’s pants down, constituting a “substantial step toward the commission of the offense of rape.” For this, he was indicted for criminal attempted rape.
