Local businesses receive millions in PPP loans
Over 70 businesses in Bledsoe County received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, according to new data from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Businesses received at least $3,274,464, retaining a total of 491 jobs, according to the data. Of those, 69 were categorized as less than $150,000, four were categorized in the range of $150,000-$350,000 and one was in the range of $1-$2 million.
