Commission takes no action on Old C.C. Road

Although a proposal to make the Old C.C. Road a Bledsoe County Natural Trail Park piqued the most interest from those in attendance at a special called meeting of the County Commission on Tuesday, May 5, the proposal didn’t even make it to a vote.

Around 25 people were in the audience, meeting spread out and wearing face masks. County Commissioners and County Mayor Gregg Ridley went into an executive session (private meeting) with County Attorney Howard Upchurch to discuss a lawsuit over the C.C. Road filed by property owner Jimmy Reece. Reece claims the County has failed to upkeep the road and created a public and private nuisance.
