2.3 magnitude earthquake registered in county overnight

A 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck the eastern portion of Bledsoe County near the Rhea County line around midnight January 25, according to the United States Geological Survey.

No reports of damage have been reported to the USGS or local Emergency Management Agency as of Saturday afternoon.
