First lady brings service initiative to Bledsoe
Tennessee first lady Maria Lee brought her service initiative to Bledsoe County on Friday morning, October 18, delivering Meals on Wheels to senior citizens and handing out Operation Gratitude care packages to members of the Bledsoe County Rescue Squad. Friday’s visit marks the third time Lee has visited Bledsoe County as first lady.
Tennessee Serves is a three-part initiative headed by Lee to encourage Tennesseeans to serve one another and their communities. October’s “challenge” focuses on giving back to first responders across the state.
