ON AIR: Memories to last a lifetime

Those who are lucky to have their grandparents around while growing up and onward get to make memories with them through photos or written stories. For Albert Roberts and his grandson Billy Bridges, the memories they make together are broadcast on The Albert and Billy Show every week from Pikeville.

“Lots of people call me PaPaw because of Billy,” Albert said one Friday, after the show finished broadcasting from the small WUAT studio inside Nickel Row. “I’m glad I’m able to do this.”

The memories together are not only broadcast through the local radio station, WUAT, but Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative’s Valley TV Channel 18 and uploaded online to YouTube.
