Jewell Vivian Deweese White

Jewell Vivian Deweese White, 94 of California and formerly of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Visalia, California.

Vivian enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, flowers of all kinds whether houseplants or working in her flower beds outdoors. Vivian and her husband, John, moved to California from Crossville in 1953, and moved back to Pikeville in 1973. Vivian spent the last few years in California to be near her children and their families. She was a member of Wheeler Hill Church of Christ and also attended Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John Everett White.

Survivors include her son, Jerry E. (Marcia) White; daughter, S. Jill (Gilbert) Cortez; grandchildren, Ron and Danny White, Michael (Monica) and Phillip (Jill) Benedetti; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony, Roman, and Bella Benedetti, and Sarah White; two sisters-in-law, Thelma (Leonard) Miller and Jean White; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bobby Collier officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be in Wheeler Hill Cemetery.
