Henry “Earl” Shannon
Henry “Earl” Shannon, age 74, of Spring City, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
He loved his dog, Roscoe, and loved to fish. He worked at Suburban Manufacturing for 42 years. He loved NASCAR, sports and “wrastlin’.” When he was younger, he loved digging for ginseng.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Cleo Shannon; brothers, Clifford (Evalene) Shannon; Tom (Josephine) Shannon and Billy Shannon; sisters, Linda (Eugene) Brock and Shirley Hitchcock; and nephew, Ricky Lee Hitchcock.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Shannon of Spring City; son, Chris Shannon of Pikeville; grandchildren, Haylie Shannon and Makenzie Shannon; great-grandchildren, Lena Creasman and Sadie Reierson; brothers, Lee (Janie) Shannon of Spencer, and Paul (Nancy) Shannon of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 6, at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Brock officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 5, from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. CDT and Monday, July 6, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CDT.
