The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints throughout Bledsoe County on June 12 and June 19, announced Sheriff Jimmy Morris. Checkpoint operations will be conducted during the hours of 2:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-midnight.
The checkpoints are scheduled for the following locations:
June 12
2:00-7:00 p.m.
•Pitts Gap Road at Hendon Road
•Griffith Road at Simmons Road
•Lowes Gap at Shut In Gap Road
•McWilliams Road at Old State Highway 28
•Brockdell Road at Griffith Road
June 19
7:00 p.m.-Midnight
•Ridge Road West at Valley View Road
•Big Springs Gap Road at Beaver Hill Road
•Old State Highway 28 at 9 Mile Crossroads
•McWilliams Road at Lower East Valley Road
•New Harmony Road at Ogden Road
These checkpoints are conducted in an effort to reduce impaired driving and help ensure the safety of the motoring public throughout Bledsoe County, explained the Sheriff.
The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department encourages all motorists to drive responsibly and never operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
