Stadium to be named after John A. Boynton

A big man with a gentle voice. A man whose heart is true blue and his blood runs orange. A man who loves God, Country and family. A man who has given his all on the field and in the classroom. That’s how John A. Boynton is described.

And Friday evening, August 23, he will be honored for his character and love of football by the Bledsoe County High School football stadium being named after him. An unveiling of a plaque outside the main gate of the stadium is planned for 6:15 p.m. The stadium will bear its new name: John A. Boynton Stadium which houses the football field named after his high school football coach, James T. Warden.
