Margie Deweese

Margie Deweese, 89, was called home on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Born and raised on Cagle Mountain, Margie and her husband lived briefly on Signal Mountain and Chattanooga before settling in Dunlap. An avid gardener, Margie enjoyed growing flowers, particularly day lilies and roses that brought her great joy. Birdwatching, especially blue birds, was a favorite pastime. For many years, she doted on family dogs, Sasha and Izzy, and enjoyed taking them to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Alma Seals; son, Kevin Dewayne Deweese; and brothers, Tommy Seals, and Melvin (Joyce) Seals.

She leaves behind her spouse of 65 years, Donnie Deweese; daughter, Vicki R. (Dewayne) Deweese-Dickson; son, Michael (Donna) Deweese; sisters, Jean (Johnny) Deweese, Diane (Allen) Mayfield, and Joyce (Richard) Reamy; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 15, in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Cagle-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery.
