Richard Allen “Sparkplug” Harvey
Richard Allen “Sparkplug” Harvey, 53 of Dunlap, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home.
He loved racing and hot rods.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Pope Harvey; granddaughter, Zaylee Watson; mother, Christine (Dale) Hobbs, and brother, Nathurn Cagle.
He is survived by two daughters, Lashay (Dakota Brown) Harvey, and Chasi Johnson; son, Sammy (Kara) Johnson, all of Dunlap; grandchildren, Zayden, Remi, Ryker, Sarah, Evie, Roman, Wyatt, and Landry; father, Steve (Carol) Harvey; sister, Paula Lahmers; brothers, Timothy (Clorisa) Dunham, and Clinton Hobbs; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Pope; brother-in-law, Mynatt (Felicia) Pope; special friends, Corey and Christie Barker; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Earl Eames officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, April 1, from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
