Emily Ann Frady has advanced to the second round of the Tennessee Songwriters competition held in Dayton with her song “Second Floor.”
The first round was held in Dayton and on February 25 she will be performing in the second round being held in Chattanooga.
Frady was accompanied by her husband, Jacob, on the guitar, and she added her skills with the fiddle in the mix.
“I was inspired by the phrase ‘the big man upstairs,’ which is one of my least favorite cliches ever,” said Frady about writing the song. “It’s about how our perception of God can be skewed and see him as a far-off Father while that couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
