Parade is Saturday downtown

Pikeville is tuning up for its 29th annual Light Up Pikeville Christmas Parade, and this year’s theme, “Sounds of Christmas,” invites the community to celebrate the music that makes the season magical. From classic carols and toe-tapping bluegrass to festive jingles and joyful noise, participants are encouraged to bring the theme to life through creative float designs, costumes, and live or recorded music.

Whether it’s a float that jingles like sleigh bells or one that rocks around the Christmas tree, this year’s parade promises to be a feast for the eyes and ears.

The parade will take place on Saturday, November 29, at 5:00 p.m. in downtown Pikeville along Main Street.
