Beaty makes history as City’s first certified female officer

Listening to the police action as a dispatcher intrigued  Hailey Beaty to hang up her job as a dispatcher and hit the streets as the first certified policewoman for the Pikeville Police Department. She graduated from the police academy on August 1 and has since been patrolling the city.
