Gaylon VanWinkle, 66, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
He was of the Christian faith. He worked 18 years at STSRCF. He owned and operated GRW Mowing. He had a lifelong passion for working on old cars and could often be found in the garage restoring classic vehicles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Giles and Angie Simmons Blankenship and Thomas and Myrtle Nail VanWinkle; parents, James and Louise Blankenship VanWinkle; and brother-in-law, Steve Bickford.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda Kennedy VanWinkle of Pikeville; son, Waylon VanWinkle of Pikeville; sister, Sharon VanWinkle Bickford; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Varnum and Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. CDT; Saturday, July 26, from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 27, from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. CDT.
