Felix Ernest Housley

Felix Ernest Housley, 95, of Pikeville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Erlanger Bledsoe after living a long and full life.

Felix, a long-time resident of Pikeville, loved life and enjoyed meeting new people. Behind every stranger he eagerly encountered was a new friend. He thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and the feast that was sure to be present. Friendly and compassionate, he was always ready to offer a helping hand. Being a dairy farmer all his life, he never shied away from hard work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lizzie Roberts Housley; sisters, Margie (Fred) Smith and Ailene (Bill) Ball; brothers, Crawford (Reva Mae) Housley and Hayden (Nancy) Housley; daughter, Marlette (Randy) Duckett; and sister-in-law, Brenda Housley.

Felix will be sadly missed by those he left behind. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Fields Housley; sons, Steve and Michael Housley; brothers, W.T. (Jean) Housley and L.D. Housley; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life was held Sunday, October 6, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in McDowell Cemetery.
