Tinsley indicted for drug-related death of Pikeville woman

A Rhea County woman has been indicted for contributing to the death of a Pikeville woman. Kayla P. Tinsley, 33, of Rhea County was indicted for the Second Degree Murder of Hailey Green, who was 27 at the time of her death.

In August 2022, officers responded to an overdose death call for service at a residence on White Flats Road in Evensville in Rhea County. They found Green deceased from an apparent overdose. Officers identified Tinsley as the individual involved in the fentanyl distribution that led directly to the victim’s death.

On April 1, the Rhea County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Tinsley with one count of Second Degree Murder and three counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance for Resale. The following day, Tinsley was arrested and booked into the Rhea County Jail on a $450,000 bond.

See the April 11 issue of The Bledsonian-Banner for more information on the case.
