Veterans remembered November 11

It was a beautiful Saturday morning, when a crowd gathered at the Bledsoe County Courthouse to pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are serving in the various United States military services. It was Veterans Day, November 11, 2023 and at 11:00 a.m. a ceremony was held.

Army National Guard veteran Ray Evans spoke about the service of the 30th Infantry Division in World War II. In particular were two Bledsoe County men who were killed in action while serving, and another who led the company to capture a tunnel in France.
