Volunteers, educators, businesses honored by Chamber of Commerce

The hard work, dedication, support, love for community and students, were just of a few of the characteristics that earned special recognition of individuals, educators and businesses by the Pikeville-Bledsoe County Chamber of Commerce. Awards were presented during the Chamber’s Installation Banquet held January 21 at The Lodge at Fall Creek Falls State Park.

For her 32 years of the service to the Chamber, most of them as secretary, Roberta Smith was awarded the Chamber Person of the Year. Chamber Chairman Matt Boynton noted Smith is retiring from the Chamber this year, but he will still be calling on her for assistance from time-to-time. She has been instrumental throughout the years in keeping members informed, involved, planning Chamber events and meetings, and so much more.
