Bledsonian’s coronavirus coverage wins top award

Over the past two years, the coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected so many from school children and their teachers to employment to severe long-lasting illness and for some, death. During that time, the Bledsonian-Banner kept its readers informed of health issues and shared personal stories from families and individuals affected by COVID-19.

For its efforts, The Bledsonian-Banner has been recognized by the Tennessee Press Association (TPA) and the University of Tennessee System. On Friday, August 26, Publisher Sandy Dodson accepted a first place plaque, honoring the local newspaper for its coronavirus coverage in 2021.
