Pitching duel ends with Lady Warriors as Region Champs

Bledsoe County High School’s Lady Warriors ended a pitching duel against Westmoreland to take the Region 3 Division I Class 2A championship. The sole run came in the sixth inning when Gracie White scored from second base when Kaylynn Churches hit a line drive down the right sideline. In the top of the seventh inning, with two outs, a Westmoreland batter hit a flyball and Bledsoe caught it to seal the 1-0 win.

Bledsoe is set to host Community High School from Unionville. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but school officials indicated that would conflict with graduation.
