Hershel Lavon Britt, 75, of the Brayton Community, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021.
He was born on August 11, 1946. He was a long time employee of Suburban Manufacturing for 22 years. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Dayton, Tennessee, for several years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Britt; and his mother, Eva Mae Britt.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Britt, of Graysville, Tennessee; daughter, Karen Kilgore (Toby Velasco) of Dayton, Tennessee; grandson, James (Tonya) Kilgore of Graysville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Kimberly (BJ) Evans of Spencer, Tennessee; three great-grandsons, Levi and Elijah Kilgore of Graysville and Logan Evans of Spencer; three great-granddaughters, Chelsea Kilgore of Graysville, Tennessee and Olivia and Brooke Evans of Spencer, Tennessee; brothers, T.C. Britt of Pikeville, Tennessee and Lyndal (Judy) Britt of Senora, Kentucky; sisters, Dora Childress of Dunlap, Tennessee, and Carolyn (Patrick) Roberson of Pikeville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and extended long term family Rocky (Cathy) Guerra of Pikeville, Tennessee, and his dialysis family.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve James officiating.
Burial was in New Family Cemetery.
