Herbert Hoover Hale
Herbert Hoover Hale, 93 of Pikeville, Tennessee died Friday, September 17, 2021 at Bledsoe County Nursing Home.
Herb was a member of Wheeler Hill Church of Christ, worked road construction running large equipment, and also Spinlon manufacturing in Spencer for 15 years. He enjoyed farming for over thirty years, and sitting in his rocking chair on his front porch watching people go by.
Preceding Herb in death were his parents, Harry Andrew and Estella Smith Hale, daughter, Lucille Ann Flowers; brothers, Clarence, Lester L., and James Hale; sister, Anna Louise Pendergrass, granddaughter, Tina Michelle Cooper; great-grandson, Lucas Flowers; sons-in-law, David Flowers and Bill Olee.
Herb will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 76 years, Alice Lucy Keller Hale; son, Bobby (Rita) Hale, Tony (Vicky) Hale; nine grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Lecroy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, at Hale Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating.
