Larry Eugene Hankins
Larry Eugene Hankins, 64, of Pikeville, Tennessee died August 24, 2021 in Greenville, S. C. while transporting for Roane Transportation. Larry loved his job and had affectionally named his truck ”Ms. Pearl.” Besides working, Larry loved to ride around and visit with people, hunting, and collecting guns, working on his truck, and horse back riding. His life revolved around family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding Larry in death were his parents, David and Edna Pauline Mooneyham Hankins; brother, Lonnie Hankins; grandparents, Johnnie and Virgie Lewis Hankins, Brown and Ulzo Mooneyham.
Larry will be dearly missed by his daughters, Tiffany Luna Warner and Shea (Duke) Duclayan; sons, Steven Hankins and John David (Shayla) Hankins; sisters, Linda (Dwight) Sapp, Patsy (Tommy ) Fann, Debbie (Roger “Peanut”) Capps: grandchildren, Braylen, Lileigh, Caroline, Aspen, Hayven, Charlotte, Allison, Austin, and Aidan; nieces and nephews, David, Stephanie, Amanda, Christy, Misty, Melissa, and Keith; two special great-nieces, Hailey and Gabby; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jonathan Hankins and Rev. Kenneth Norris officiating. Burial was in Blackburn Cemetery.
