Donald A. Carter, 80, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Sunday, December 20, 2020.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joyce Carter; son, Chris Carter; parents, Bernard and Phyllis Carter; brothers, John Carter, Robert Carter and Bernard Carter, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Charee (Darryl) Daniel of Pikeville; daughter-in-law, Eileen Carter of Dunlap; grandchildren, Kyle Carter, Samantha (Marshall) Dishman, Caleb Daniel, Nate Carter, GraceC Carter and Seth Daniel; great-grandsons, Lincoln Dishman and Maverick Dishman; sisters, Lucy (Cal) Tripp, Sr. of Bangor, ME and Merna (Jack) Haynes of Boston, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, at noon at Frostbite House of Prayer. Burial was in Dunn Cemetery.
